Job Description
We're in search of a Senior UX Designer who is ready to explore user behaviours, needs, and preferences to develop consistent, intuitive, and user-friendly design solutions for our cybersecurity platform. This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely curious and eager to make a meaningful impact on our mission by improving the user experience and design of our products.
In this dynamic role, you'll join a collaborative team of Product, Engineering, and UX experts, driving our design thinking with Lean UX and Double Diamond methodologies to deeply understand user needs across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Through iterative design, testing, and feedback cycles, you'll harness insights from both our team and external users to enhance our UX strategies, streamline product development, and deliver finely-tuned design solutions that focus on real user outcomes.
This role is for someone who thrives in an environment that values agile methodologies and user-centred design, and who is passionate about harnessing the collective expertise of cross-functional teams to create impactful and user-friendly designs.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications:- A minimum of 6 years in UX design with foundational experience of user research.
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with using design systems.
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates a history of user-focused and data-informed design projects.
- Exceptional team collaboration and communication abilities, capable of leading projects and working synergistically across various teams.
- A deep respect for CyberSmart's goals and activities, as well as a commitment to valuing the diverse perspectives and unique identities of our global team members, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
- Extra consideration will be given to applicants with the following (not essential):
- Analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Pendo or PostHog
- Experience in the cybersecurity sector or related fields
- A basic understanding of HTML, React and Javascript
- Adobe creative suite
- Guide the design strategy for our cybersecurity platform with a focus on empathetic and user-centric design.
- Engage in user research through various methods like interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights that inform our design approach.
- Work in partnership with product managers and engineers to refine design concepts.
- Employ tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, along with analytics platforms like PostHog, to develop, test, and evaluate the effectiveness of designs.
- Promote UX design best practices, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation within our team.
