Sword Engineering information Services, collaborate with organisations that are looking to extract value from their engineering information. Through our market-leading Phusion SaaS platform, engineers are empowered to model, capture, and manage information in a unified and easily accessible format. This information can then be utilized to execute projects, operations, and drive industrial transformation.

We are looking for an Engineering Data Analyst to process a wide range of data as it arrives directly from the client, preparing the data for the project teams to work on. They are effectively undertaking the first phase of the data cleansing process. The data arrives in various formats, including Excel spreadsheets, Access databases etc. and must be prepared and loaded into our in-house software.

This role will be based on site at our Billingham office , UK.

Engineering Data Analysts work for specific projects and led by an experienced Project Manager. They are required to undertake a wide range of project related activities including:

  • Locating a wide range of equipment related information via the Internet, CD-ROM’s, brochures, client material etc.
  • Converting electronic information from one format to another.
  • Building hierarchy relationships from process plant, instrument loop and electrical systems.
  • Analysing and processing spare parts information i.e. SPILS, SPURS.
  • Locating technical data from engineering drawings and engineering documents.
  • Building the more complex relationships between data and documents.
  • Cleaning and validating data to ISO standards and client requirements.
  • Raising and solving technical queries.
  • Provide technical support to Engineering Data Assemblers

A good working knowledge of engineering documents and process equipment is required, along with good verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • You should hold an ONC in instrument, mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • You will have completed a recognised apprenticeship scheme.
