Senior Insurance Executive

Location:Ashford, Kent

Salary:40,000 to 45,000

Hours:Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm..

They have been going for over a century and manage their clients from local offices, ensuring community is at the heart of everything they do. They have around 300 agencies across the UK at the heart of rural communities, each agency is headed up by their own independent agents. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a local agency.

The Role:

Our client is looking for a Senior Insurance Sales Executive to support the Agency’s business strategy of significant growth in the commercial sector by building effective relationships, delivering on commercial sales targets, whilst ensuring customers receive the highest level of customer service by providing a compliant and appropriate insurance and risk management programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contribute to the building of our new business sales pipeline and build and develop relationships with prospects.
  • Deliver sales targets by planning, developing, and delivering sales opportunities.
  • Review, design and advise mid-corporate and complex corporate clients on their insurance portfolios to ensure that the policy is providing peace of mind to the client.
  • Positively impact sales through identifying and securing upsell and cross sales opportunities (including our financial services and risk management services).
  • Plan and implement effective sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Build long term relationships with our broker arm.
  • Coach and develop other commercially licensed sellers within the agency.
  • Consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with potential and existing customers, delivering on commitments, meeting their needs, and exceeding expectations.
  • Always demonstrate high values of trust and integrity, acting as a positive role model in line with the values and ethos of the Agency.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within the Agency team and all relevant key contacts and teams within NFU Mutual.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in a way which complies with relevant external legislation and regulation.
  • Deliver ad-hoc projects and/or other duties as required, to support the delivery of business strategy and enhance customer experience.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven track record in highly driven and ambitious targeted sales role.
  • Proven track record in advising commercial customers on their insurance needs
  • Proven track record delivering excellent customer service
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office and the ability to effectively use NFU Mutual systems
  • Good maths and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
