Role Purpose

You will be a managing multiple high performing test teams on the latest unreleased titles, providing direction, strategy, and oversight for your team.
You’ll have a passion to get things right, excellent attention to detail, a thorough approach, and you’re open to learning new skills and working across departments with multiple colleagues to meet challenging deadlines.
As a Project Manager, you’re the key contact for many of our world class clients, expected to be knowledgeable, pragmatic, and approachable at all times. You are responsible for making sure we deliver on time, and to the highest possible standards.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 11:30pm
Location
To work in our facilities located in Liverpool City Centre, Renshaw Street.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and building client relationships via outstanding communication skills, organisation, and using multiple channels to help clients reach their goals.
- Guaranteeing high standards of delivery and on-time results for a variety of titles and engagements.
- Ensuring all your teams follow the Universally Speaking test process through the whole project’s lifecycle.
- Creating and improving workflows and processes in hand with the Head of FQA to help raise the bar for all aspects of our service.
- Reporting on progress through regular KPI updates, reports, daily meetings, resource management tools, and financial updates.
- Discuss with, advise, and produce quotes for clients in partnership with the Sales team to deliver a wide variety of QA strategies across diverse projects.
- Tracking project financial cost and revenue to make sure we hit forecasted targets and Client budgetary requirements.
- Manage your reports directly through regular 1-2-1s, PDPs, and where required performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Lend your experience and guidance to all members of your team to help them overcome challenges and grow as individuals and a function.
- Delegate and organise tasks within your teams, making sure to monitor through to completion.
- Identifying, Assessing, and Mitigating areas of risk prior to and during test cycles.
- Escalate to upper management issues and requests as appropriate to ensure smooth deliveries and continuous support.
- Ensure we hit resource targets and requested team sizes for active projects shift after shift, by co-ordinating with your Leads and monitoring staff absence rates closely.
- Take on board the team’s feedback and guide improvements and enhancements to the test process.
- Speak up for your people when they have concerns or need help.
- Support training initiatives as required, and produce high quality documentation to help standardise around and propagate new ideas.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to write accurate, unambiguous, and concise documentation.
- Naturally adept at engaging with a variety of clients and building strong relationships.
- Are passionate about video games.
- Have extensive experience in software testing and know how to overcome just about any challenge that could arise.
- Thorough knowledge of testing formats (FQA, CQA, Compatibility, UAT and more)
- Knowledge of QA Tools, SDKs, VR/AR platforms, first-party platform requirements and other standards that affect the FQA service.
- Understanding of Client and Internal financial requirements.
- Can negotiate with intelligence and pragmatism.
- Are a quick learner and highly adaptable.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Have an inquisitive mind.
- Are an excellent team player, with the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines by organising and making best use of your teams.
