Optime Group in partnership with a well-known Ground Handling Company located at Gatwick Airport are looking to add to its growing team of Baggage Handlers with flexible shifts available serving one of the UK's fastest growing airports.
What's on offer:
- Location: Gatwick Airport
- Rate of pay: 15.37 per hour
- 2 weeks paid training provided (you must be available for the full 2 week training period)
- Work as little or as often as you like* (Must pick up a minimum of 20 hours per week)

Main Duties amp; Responsibilities:
- Candidates will be processing customers luggage, ensuring they are loaded into the aircraft for departure and unloaded and transported to the airport on arrival.
- You will be working both airside and within the Undercroft (baggage unit)
- This is a manual role; candidates will need to be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and move luggage up to 30KG in weight - It is important to know that there will be down time during your shift between arrivals or departures.
- This role involves operating various types of vehicles to move baggage between the terminal and aircraft.
- The role takes place both indoor and outdoor and will experience all weather conditions.
- Full paid training provided. (10 days of classroom based training)
Shifts :
In order to be able to pick a minimum of 20 hours per week, you must be flexible with start date finish times of your shifts:
- 3:00am to 09:00am
- 12:00pm to 21:00pm
*Minimum weekly hours required for training purposes.
Requirements:
- Full manual driving licence
- Good attention to detail
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
- Right to Work in the UK
- Five year fully checkable reference history
- Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
