The Role

We are now looking for a fab HR Business Partner to join our amazing team. Working from our Manchester office you will be supporting the Debenhams team in both locations reporting into the Senior People Partner based in London and working alongside a HR Advisor and HR Assistant.

In this role you will be providing HR support and guidance to our senior leaders and employees, to make a significant impact as the brand grows. Ensuring the HR team supports the brand in both locations, this role will be based in Manchester provide relevant support to all team members.

Responsibilities

No two days at boohoo are ever the same therefore we’ve listed some of your key responsibilities below, but we are a close-knit team who all roll up our sleeves and get stuck into whatever challenge comes our way:

  • Be the primary point of contact for our senior managers and leaders in Debenhams, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand the business needs and provide proactive solutions
  • You’ll play an active role in managing employee relations queries; therefore you will need to be able to advice on maternity, paternity, welfare meetings, probations, investigations, disciplinary, flexible working, problem solving and performance
  • Full management of the annual review process including annual and mid-year performance reviews and goal setting, working with leaders to manage top talent and seek areas of improvement
  • Fully manage the brands recruitment vacancy list, staying close to leaders and working with them to shape the needs of their department
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition team, driving weekly meetings to discuss recruitment requirements and ensure the Senior HRBP is up to date with demands
  • Working with the Talent amp; Development teams to roll out any brand initiatives, workshops, or business updates to the Debenhams teams
  • Put forward ideas to implement programs and initiatives that support the brands employee engagement and development
  • Proactively support and put forward ideas to the Senior HR Business Partner in developing strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • You have strong ER knowledge in all areas such as maternity, paternity, probations, investigations, disciplinary, flexible working, problem solving and performance
  • Confident making decisions quickly and autonomously
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Previous knowledge drafting and presenting structure charts (Viso and Canva)
  • Confidence in presenting and conducting training sessions to teams
