We are looking for a Grounds Operations Manager’s to join the team, at our Rowley Park Sports Stadium!

The Grounds Operations Manager’s key role is to provide a full grounds maintenance service at Rowley Park Sports Stadium, Stafford Castle, Izaak Walton’s Cottage, Stone and Stafford Leisure Centre’s. These facilities include a bowling green, 3G football pitch, grass pitches, Park and Castle grounds/open spaces, herb garden, play area, car parks. to deliver the following:

  • Management and maintenance of all aspects of the grounds, and maintenance of external equipment and grounds equipment. Including the Play Park.
  • To deliver facilities required to the specified standards to meet bookings within the set budget.
  • Grounds maintenance applies to all external areas of the sites.

Ideally you will have good knowledge of horticulture, excellent communication skills and presentation, you must have a team orientated approach to work. Ideally coming from a similar role, with at least 2 years-experience of working in grounds maintenance.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (Rota basis)

Requirements

  • Two years-experience of working in grounds maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation, with a genuine desire to work closely with customers and colleagues
  • Knowledge of horticulture
  • IT literate knowledge and ability to use Word and Excel
  • Planning and time/work programme management
  • Drive and energy and enthusiasm
  • Team orientated approach, able to be supportive of the work of colleagues
  • Flexible and adaptable to work longer hours in the Summer Season
  • Clean Driving Licence - required to drive flatbed truck
