We are looking for a colleague to join our Legal amp; Compliance team as Compliance Analyst. This role is based in London, at our Hammersmith office with the flexibility to work one day from home.

As Compliance Analyst, you will actively support Assala’s Integrity Due Diligence (IDD) processes, analyze vendor specific risks and establish mitigation plans, support active tenders and work with Contracts and Procurement to ensure record-keeping is optimal for data analysis that you will provide.

This is a 12-months fixed term contract job, with the possibility of renewal or conversion to permanent employment.

Key activities you will be involved in:

  • Conduct research, perform risk assessment analysis, and write IDD reports and mitigation plans, and follow-up to close-out.
  • Identify relevant metrics and review compliance data to develop custom risk-analytical reports and provide insight to management for decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of training and support material in the IDD areas to the group, including the Supply Chain Team.
  • Proactively work with other departments to help them address compliance risks, and enhance or develop new compliance processes, process maps and documenting procedures.
  • Regular interaction with social performance teams to bolster understanding and processes.
  • Work closely with the Government Relations team to develop relevant metrics to monitor engagement with public officials
  • Support Internal Audit as requested in assigned compliance reviews.
  • Contribute to the promotion and embedding of a culture of compliance including delivery of training and communication on compliance across the organisation.
  • Assist in reviewing and responding to KYC issues both with suppliers and with our lenders.
  • Provide support to Assala’s Data Protection program, as needed.

Requirements

To be appointed in this capacity you will have to demonstrate experience in a similar capacity, in addition to:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail combined with interpersonal skills
  • Research, and analytical skills, including the ability to quickly and concisely summarize complex issues
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, international relations, political science, regional studies, business or related area of study
  • Fluency in French, whilst not essential, would be beneficial
