Location: Bristol (Roughly 2 days a week on the road)
Salary: 32,000 - 37,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Our client is a crime prevention charity that helps prevent people who have been to prison and young individuals at risk of going to prison from criminal activities. They offer an innovative rehabilitation programme that breaks the cycle of criminal behaviour in deprived communities. They have successfully directed individuals away from crime into meaningful employment, whilst improving community prospects.
The Role:
As a Programme Manager at a Charity, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the successful delivery of programmes that align with the charities mission and goals. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective execution of initiatives, coordinating resources, and collaborating with senior management and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and be responsible for the successful execution of all programmes. As part of the role you will also focus on our clients employability strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Delivery Team and manage a small team whilst helping the charity maximise its impact on young offenders and those at risk of offending.
Responsibilities:
· Overseeing our clients employability offering for ex-offenders and alumni by planning impactful employability workshops prison post-release and ‘At Risk’ programmes, whilst tracking participants and reporting updates.
· Management of programmes nationally, working with the programmes team to ensuring programmes are planned and executed effectively.
· Leading by example, promote and demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy, integrity and respect.
· Liaising with client to arrange 3-day work tasters for the participants.
· Supporting the Programme Team to ensure that Employability KPI’s are being met.
· Manage participants through the employability sections of the Key4Life programme.
· Support participants to CV and employability workshops and encourage their full participation with support from caseworkers and wider team.
· Ensure all programmes close with minimum 65% in employment and maximum 14% reoffending rate
· Training team members to support with employability across the Charity.
· Regular communication with the young men on the programme, with completion of action plans and assessments all participants.
· Liaising with the mentor team on a weekly basis to provide optimal support to the young men and their mentors.
· Responsibility to ensure that all Safeguarding regulations and risk assessments are adhered to by direct reports and others.
·Effective line management of direct reports (Programme Coordinator/Caseworkers) through monthly 1:1’s and bi-annual appraisals.
·To be aware of the external environment andidentifyany changes that may affect operations.
· To be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate to the working environment and position.
Relevant experience
Essential
· An understanding of the labour market in London through previous experience.
· An understanding of the key issues effecting young men in prison and those at risk of going to prisonin accessing and sustaining employment.
· Experience of working within a confidential environment.
· Be able and willing to work in prisons and YOIs as well as in the community.
Desirable
· A proactive and creative approach to developing innovative solutions.
· Excellent IT skills; highly proficient in all Office packages,
· Understanding of the charity sector in the UK and the issues it faces.
