Charlotte Tilbury is looking for an inspiring Engineering Manager to join our incredible Engineering Team. You’ll join the company at an exciting time for us as a business, and especially as a Digital and Technology team. Under the guidance of our visionary Chief Digital Officer, Corrine Suchy, Charlotte Tilbury’s digital business is making huge waves in the Beauty and Retail world and pushing the boundaries of retail experience online and in store.

The Engineering team is evolving into a world-leading DevOps team, using modern development practices and continuous improvement to keep improving and working smarter. We are delivering exciting changes across the Charlotte Tilbury customer experience, as well as continuously improving our platforms, tools and processes to set ourselve up for long term success.
Role Accountabilities:
·Line manage a brilliant, diverse team of engineers with a wide range of backgrounds, skills and experiences
·Hire and develop exciting new engineers
·Help Evolve our team structures as we expand our teams and face new challenges at larger scales
·Make sure we’re measuring the right things to tell us how the team is performing and identify the places we need to improve
·Ensure the Engineering team at Charlotte Tilbury is an welcoming place for people of all backgrounds and experiences to come and be the best version of themselves
·Evolve our interviews, on boarding, career development and other people-focussed processes to make sure we’re hiring the right people and continuing to develop them
Requirements
- Experience of Software Engineering Team Leadership or People Management in a Software Engineering Team.
- Clear communication skills with a strong sense of empathy and how to deliver effective feedback
- A desire to learn and look at different ways of doing things, and the ability to present ideas in a Strong opinions weakly held manner to enable robust, productive discussion and debate
- A passion developing people and teams, bringing teams closer together and how to create high-performances teams that are enjoyable to work in
- A Strong understanding of the different types of skills needed in and Engineering team. Candidates should be very familiar with software development concepts such as version control, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment, feature flags and trunk based development.
