Job Description

ABOUT US:

Pineapple Contracts opened their doors for the first time in 1975. A family run company, started by William Hathorn, Pineapple began making pine furniture for the retail market and traded as, ‘Pine Productions’.

In 1987, Pine Productions moved their focus to the healthcare furniture market, having identified a demand for strong, safe and durable healthcare furniture which avoided the ‘institutional’ appearance, common at that time. With a new direction, a new name was required and we became simply ‘Pineapple’.

Pineapple, now a global company with headquarters in Kent (UK), have offices in France, Germany and the USA, still runs by its original ethos.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of the Interim Group Accountant is to assist in managing the finances of the company and any associated companies.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production of Group Management Accounts including commentary and variance analysis across the Pamp;L, balance sheet and cashflow statement
  • Management of cashflow, including daily cash reporting.
  • Liaison with HMRC, banks/credit card and external accountants
  • Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Routine analysis of nominal entries and control accounts
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Identifying risks and make appropriate recommendations or decisions on the accurate reporting
  • Support the management team in analysing, understanding and interpreting the operational and financial performance of the business.
  • Look at additional projects for the CEO

REQUIREMENTS

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • A strategic thinker with strong commercial/business skills
  • Highly numerate, meticulous attention to detail and work accuracy
  • Comfortable in a role that requires being hands on
  • Experience with system changes
  • Experience with working with foreign subsidiaries
  • Ability to present and articulate financial information/complex ideas simply and concisely
