Job Description

Role details: This is a full time role for 40 contracted hours per week

Salary: 31,000 - 47,000 per annum (based on experience and track record)

Location: We are a hybrid team, based throughout the UK. We offer the flexibility to work outside of the UK up to 90 days per year, however you must be able to work and live permanently within the UK, and travel to London every few months for team meeting sessions. #LI-Remote

The role

We are on the lookout for an exceptional individual with outstanding writing and research skills to join us as a full-time Marketing Content Manager amp; Copywriter. In this broad role, you will report to the Marketing Director, creating content across a broad range of delivery formats from blogs and articles to newsletters, client pitches, emails, website copy, advertising campaigns, and social media posts.

Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer and content creator with an eye for detail and a penchant for turning mundane messages into captivating stories. You will be a master at taking complex material and presenting it in a clear, concise and engaging way that’s easy to understand, making it more relatable for our target audiences, aligning to their individual needs and use cases. You should have a keen interest in creativity, innovation and the future of the content landscape. Exceptional communication skills, a passion for writing and strong attention to detail are essential for you to be successful in this role.

Over the next 12 months you will:

  • Conceptualise, write, edit and proofread original and compelling content copy across diverse formats, ensuring the highest quality of execution at all times
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style/punctuation. Maintain consistently high standards of writing across various communication types
  • Develop a strong narrative that speaks to the target persona, clearly articulates the value proposition, adapting the voice and style based on the target audience
  • Elevate the standard for writing fresh copy that drives action and lead conversion
  • Research and understand target audiences and their needs and challenges through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts
  • Collaborate with internal teams for idea generation, concept development, and messaging
  • Assist with business pitches or other ad hoc communication/PR projects
  • Analyse content performance metrics to inform future strategies, championing content and copy best practices, including performing keyword analysis to optimise for SEO

Requirements

  • A proven track record in copywriting either in an agency or a B2B in-house setting, with the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of editing and editorial planning, including long and short-form content for a variety of formats and styles
  • A strong writing style with personality, adaptability to distinct tone of voice requirements for different brands, as well as flawless spelling and punctuation
  • Solid understanding of the role of editorial copy in content marketing, alongside the data and statistics behind it that demonstrate campaign/messaging success
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload, often requiring quick turnaround times
  • A creative approach, both in coming up with ideas for new projects and for getting a message across innovatively
  • Understanding of and working knowledge of HTML or WordPress, and HubSpot
