Fund Finance Advisory (FFA) operates alongside the broader Risk Advisory team to support global clients in assessing, establishing and managing a wide range of solutions for their financing needs at fund, GP and ManCo level.

The role encompasses origination, structuring, and deal execution.

Responsibilities:

• Attending client, industry, amp; networking events, leveraging the existing Validus relationships and your personal network to drive business development efforts for new and existing clients;
• Originating new FFA revenue by identifying new opportunities and supporting the pitching processes for prospective and existing clients;
• As a key differentiator, Validus has astrong sense of common purpose: an integral part of the role is assisting colleagues in revenue generating initiatives by working closely with the Risk Advisory and Client Coverage teams to contribute FFA product expertise;
• Acting as point on any deal structuring, execution and project management;
• Leading and delivering high quality FFA analysis, documentation, and advice;
• Striving for continuous improvement and consistency in FFA service delivery (internal and external);
• Ensuring a high quality of deliverables;
• Contributing ideas for innovation and technology development/adoption to improve FFA service delivery and create new products and solutions for participants in the fund finance market;
• Remaining abreast of market development; and
• The role may require some travel.

Requirements

Experience/skills/attributes required:

• Previous experience in the Fund Finance market is ideal, but candidates with experience in Leveraged Finance, Alternative Credit and Mamp;A / Transaction Services will also be considered;
• Experience with loan documentation;
• Knowledge of Alternative Investment Funds;
• Ability to build relationships with senior decision makers internally and externally;
• Excellent time and project management skills, ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail;
• Strong numerical skills as well as an analytical mindset; and
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

In addition, any of the following would be a plus:

• Legal background/experience;
• Modelling experience;
• Proficiency in a second European language;
• CFA or CAIA certification; and
• Existing network across private capital managers
