About the role

The Insights Executive at Motorway holds a pivotal role in leveraging transport data insights to enhance network performance, and supporting strategic initiatives for an unparalleled seller and dealer experience.

This position involves deep dives into service levels, hypothesis testing, and implementing scalable operational processes in collaboration with key partners. Reporting to the Head of Transport Partnerships, this role necessitates strategic thinking, operational planning, and close collaboration across diverse teams including transport operations, finance, product/tech, and dealer account management to achieve joint objectives. Key attributes include strong prioritisation skills, adept stakeholder management, a data-centric approach, and a bias for action.

The role involves bridging dealer adoption with provider performance, integrating new tech launches, ad-hoc reporting, and proactive problem-solving abilities, demanding innovation, multitasking, and effective engagement with stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes.

A typical day for the Insights Executive at Motorway will be a dynamic blend of data analysis, strategic planning, and collaborative problem-solving. This will include deep dives into transport data, evaluating the current network performance and identifying key insights. The Analyst will apply a proactive problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve inefficiencies within existing processes. Additionally, this role will address ad-hoc reporting requests and promptly respond to urgent issues, ensuring a seamless and optimised experience for sellers and dealers on the Motorway platform. The role demands a versatile skill set, combining analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and effective communication to drive impactful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Analytical skills: ability to analyse data, produce reporting, identify trends, and derive insights to influence decision making.
  • Problem-solving: capacity to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or issues within processes and develop effective solutions.
  • Project management: skills to plan, execute, and oversee optimisation projects, including setting goals, timelines, and managing resources.
  • Communication skills: ability to convey complex ideas, present findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes effectively.
  • Strategic thinking: capacity to align optimisation efforts with broader organisational goals and strategies.

  • Change management skills: ability to manage and mitigate resistance to change, and successfully implement new processes or strategies.
  • Automotive, transportation or fulfilment experience is a plus.
