Job Title: Account/Partnerships Manager

Location: Chester (Hybrid)

Despite a multi-million Pamp;L, it remains small, agile, and growing at a rapid pace with significant backing to fulfil its ambitions. The role

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this role is pivotal as the products and services provided by our existing channel partners are the lifeblood of the service that BusinessComparison offer.

Through effective account, partner and channel management, our business customers acquire better deals, we generate more customer loyalty, and the long-term sustainability of the comparison model will continue to flourish. This is a complex commercial role that requires experience and confidence working day-to-day with existing business partners of varying type, from Brokers to agencies or affiliate portals, and direct service providers. There are also internal and external partners to think about too!

The successful Partnership Manager will be expected to handle and drive forward continuous renegotiations for partners in numerous B2B channel sectors, Utilities, Finance, Banking, Telecoms, Payments and Software.

Smooth handover of commercial changes into the business is also a key part of this role, such as explaining how commercial changes affect marketing channels (primarily PPC/SEO and email marketing). Therefore, the ability to effectively analyse and present data to partners and internal colleagues is very important. You will be an approachable person, who is able to embrace change and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day to day

As the Partnerships Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for EBITDA target for the performance of existing partners and channels
  • Commercial onboarding of new partners within existing markets
  • Report and communicate partner performance data internally to key colleagues to action.
  • Account manages to resolution any ongoing and outstanding actions with channel partners e.g. reporting errors, enquiry quality issues, or filtering of enquiries.
  • Ensure a first-class service in meeting with or representing our channel partners.
  • Input on ongoing channel development via feedback from partners into dev / project teams
  • Continuous commercial account development of channels and their respective existing partners
  • Act as the primary point of contact for existing partners into Business Comparison for most matters.

Requirements

About you

  • Previous experience of account management or partnership management
  • Experience negotiating and closing commercial service contracts (new or existing)
  • Numerical business judgement making decisions based from sound mathematics.
  • Analytical mind the ability to report and analyse key performance data.
  • Presentation skills confidently present performance internally (colleagues) and externally (partners)
