ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Trainee Product Analyst, you’ll take a growing and expanding role across the Product Team. We’ll help you grow and develop, and over time you’ll be working autonomously to work on owning customer outcomes, prioritising, and challenging that we are building the right thing and building it right. You’ll be part of a team responsible for improving customer journeys and experience across the products, to create the leading platform in the self-directed investing market.
In this entry-level role, your time will be divided to allow you to learn more about our customers, product, market and technology and allow you to grow and expand into the role. You’ll act in a supporting role, taking ownership of a product area, triaging issues, responding and escalating where needed. When our Product Managers and other Product Analysts are getting the business ready for change, you’ll be supporting them on communicating with areas such as Ops and creating material to prepare the business for change.
To enable you to grow, we’ll also partner you with another Product Analyst in one of our squads, working within a project or product workstream. You will be working in close partnership with other Product Analysts and Product Managers to help elicit requirements from business stakeholders in the form of epics and user stories, and working with Technical Leads and UX Designers using their domain knowledge, to design and deliver on the requirements at hand.
You’ll be required to work across all channels and systems, work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build a strong knowledge of our business and technical ecosystems. You will work with Data Analysts and the Data Team to understand the data available and then use this to validate outcomes and support prioritisation of delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support Product Analysts in managing their Product backlog using your working knowledge of change methodologies and frameworks to carry out tasks
- Work within product/project workstreams and be the link between Business and IT Delivery
- Use your general awareness of the market, competitors and the industry to help deliver at a tactical level against the Product Roadmap you support
- Support the Product Team with communications to key stakeholders e.g., creation of communications for Operations in preparation for Operational Readiness
- Understand who your key stakeholders are and effectively communicate with them when required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across various teams e.g., UX Designers to provide an understanding of the user stories to ensure designs are aligned and create seamless, usable and accessible user journeys
- Play an active role in all Product Ceremonies, and be engaged with and work with the immediate and broader team
- Use your working knowledge and understanding of key objectives, KPIs, data types and systems available to inform decision making
- Take leadership under the direction of Product or Senior Product Analysts via mentoring and demonstrate a keenness to improve knowledge and skills
- Focus on the right task at the right time and develop your understanding of product prioritisation tools and techniques
- Provide cover at a squad/project level for a Product Analyst
- Step up and take responsibility of the direction of the squad e.g., defines the problem and sees this through to solution
- Demonstrate a keenness to learn mor
