ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Trainee Data Analyst, you will support the Commercial team to help drive performance, KPI results, and informing future strategic decisions. You will work within a team of experienced Data Analysts to gain experience across a variety of tasks, building your knowledge and understanding to become a high-performing analyst and data science professional.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Support the Commercial Analytics Manager in KPI development and work with Finance to track a consistent set of measures
- Provision of weekly, monthly reports and development of senior management dashboards
- Provide context and commentary to help the business understand performance
- Support on the analysis of internal and external data sources (e.g. 3rd party research) and dissemination of this across the business
- Develop strong partnerships with the wider Commercial team to support them in their data needs, including a variety of channel owners such as CRM, SEO, PPC and Affiliates
- Work with the Commercial Team to support on setting campaign and overall objectives (customer and financial) ensuring we can measure success at an individual campaign and overall objective level
- Supporting with ad-hoc reporting requests
- Work to automate reporting capability through effective use of SQL and Power BI
- Ensure that any data provisions are consistently developed and maintained and ensuring data management processes are defined and implemented in line with Data governance principles
Salary: 27,000

ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP:
As a Trainee Data Analyst, you will develop the technical knowledge plus the professional skills and behaviours to work within our exciting and fast-paced Marketing team, gaining valuable work experience plus achieving a qualification through a structured apprenticeship programme to kick-start your career.
Through the level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, you will develop the skills and knowledge to become a confident data analyst, able to turn raw data into meaningful insights that organisations can act on. This training will be provided by Multiverse, who will deliver the apprenticeship. Within your development program, you will learn and grow knowledge such as:
- The data analytics lifecycle and database fundamentals
- Aggregating and joining data, pivot tables, visualisations and data cleaning with Excel
- Database fundamentals, SQL and data visualization
- Advanced BI and project presentation
- Python programming and analysis
- Data mining and machine learning
- Big data concepts
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will achieve your Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship. Typically, the apprenticeship will take around 18 months to complete.
