We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Senior Operative to join our dynamic team based in Colnbrook, Slough, Berkshire. As a Warehouse Senior Operative you will play a crucial role in handling equipment for our marketing and events company. Your responsibilities will include proficiently operating Counterbalance amp; Reach forklifts, managing workflow, supervising temporary agency staff, coordinating dispatch and receipt of goods, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient operation of Counterbalance amp; Reach forklifts; assessment required prior to appointment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and data entry software for efficient communication and record-keeping.
  • Manage workflow and identify staffing requirements during busy periods.
  • Anticipate and solve problems, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of merchandise, maintaining organizational standards.
  • Supervise temporary agency staff and oversee their daily workload and activities.
  • Track and coordinate dispatch, receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Order supplies, maintain inventory levels, and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Perform daily/weekly inspections of warehouse plant amp; equipment, reporting defects/faults.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Counterbalance amp; Reach forklift operation.
  • Strong understanding and use of Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage workflow, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
  • Commitment to health and safety regulations.
