Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for integrating all available subsurface seismic data, tying these to the well data, and producing the seismic mapping framework for the London Onshore Team. You will also be responsible for seismic re-processing and/or acquisition efforts and represent Shell in discussions with our partners on these subjects. You will provide depth maps, isopach maps, and other seismic-derived products, mature prospects, evaluate risks and volumetrics, and generally support our operational activities in our license areas and our bid round evaluations, farm-in evaluations, acreage applications. You will also advise and input on geological evaluation work being carried out in other UK Basins by the Houston-based EPX-N Group.
Job Specification
- Be Shell focal point for all seismic re-processing and/or seismic acquisition activities onshore UK
- Responsible for seismic database (guidance of Technical Assistant) and high quality of seismic interpretation products
- Support operational activities in licenses
- Support volumetric and risk calculations; provide QC to volumetrics being carried out in New Ventures, specifically for the UK Onshore
