Test Engineer (Electrical)
Loughborough, Leicestershire
Up to £28K basic depending on experience
There is coming up a new opportunity for a Test Engineer in our Electrical team based out of our kitemark testing lab in Loughborough.
As the test engineer you will be testing the safety of new lighting and electrical products at our kitemark testing lab making sure that the products pass the various standards before allowed to go to market.
This role offers real diversity and variety, where one minute you’ll be in the lab undertaking some precision measurements and the next you’ll be at our client’s manufacturing facility,

Responsibilities:
Strong communication and project management skills are at the heart of this role. You’ll have constant interaction and engagement with clients at a variety of levels, from technicians to Directors.
This role is perfect for an engineer who is able to apply their technical ability in a client focused role. To be successful in this role you’ll need the skills to build relationships with our clients, understand their requirements and then deliver this work autonomously.
You’ll be managing multiple projects so strong project management skills are a must. With this you’ll need to use your strong interpersonal skills to confidently present findings to our clients about their products.
Job Specification
To be successful in the role, ideally you will have the following:
'Hands on' engineering experience with testing experience of Electrical products
Qualified to at least HNC level in an engineering discipline
Ideally experience of working with standards: 60598, 60335
Resourceful and solution orientated
Proactive and flexible
Great attention to detail
Work under minimal supervision
Qualified to at least HNC level in an engineering discipline
