Job Description

Samsung Electronics UK (SEUK) has ambition to grow its digital capability and in particular direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. In 2020, Online DTC delivered unprecedented growth thanks to a significant increase in online shopping, growing demand for consumer electronics and the ongoing determination and efforts of the Online team.

We require a Senior Online Analytics and Insight Manager who can help to drive continued growth and lead the analytical agenda within the Online team. The role will sit as part of a newly formed department within the Online team: Direct to Consumer Development. There are three core elements to this new department:

1. Analytics & Customer insight
2. Innovation & proposition development
3. Delivery and Change

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This role will be responsible for ensuring the Online team strategy is aligned to data and will spearhead the ‘data first’ approach within Online. You will work closely with a number of different teams and be instrumental in enabling these teams to have clearly defined and measurable commercial objectives, helping to improve decision making and enabling increased levels of accountability. You will set vision and direction for the Analytics & Insight Team and ensure that the appropriate technological solutions and strategy in place. Your insight and analysis will play a key role in supporting the Online Leadership Team shape strategic direction and approach, and you will also support your senior manager peers with the identification and provision of relevant insight and analytics to progress innovation and proposition development opportunities.

Job Specification

Your key deliverables will be:

1.Effective leadership of the SEUK Analytics and Measurement function, comprising Samsung employees, Samsung contractors and an agency team2.A vision, strategy and roadmap of development for the Insight and Analytics function3.Reporting, insight and analysis that helps shape the development of the online strategy and supports everyday business decision making4.Work alongside the Heads of Commercial, Samsung.com, D2C Development and Ireland, ensuring that each area has clearly defined and measurable objectives aligned to the overall Online team strategy, with all parties equipped with the correct data and insight to meet these objectives5.Development of commercial and ecommerce targets and forecasts (in collaboration with commercial leads) 6.Definition and tracking of KPIs to ensure visibility of business performance and monitor the implementation of the online strategy 7.Provision of a reporting and insight suite that enables business teams deliver their business objectives8.Provision of tools, training or support to up-skill the online team and enable a “data-first” mindset9.Leadership of key strategic data and insight projects to ensure SEUK has best-in-market capabilities e.g. attribution / propensity modelling, data infrastructure enhancements, consumer research and business reporting 10.Insight and analytics support for innovation and proposition development11.Collaboration with Samsung regional and global data / analytics teams to share best practice and unlock synergies12.Collaboration with Samsung regional data / analytics teams to clearly define and iterate the Samsung D2C audience and ensure online strategy is aligned to this customer insight13.Ownership of data and analytics supplier relationships, including agency retainer14.Ownership of the online NPS tool and provision of relevant and insightful outputs15.Ownership of the Samsung.com tag management solutions and analytics tools, ensuring the implementation of both are fit for purpose and industry leading

SEO, PPC, Affiliates, Social, Display and CRM•Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel•Experience in managing a team and 3rd party suppliers
