The Media Team in the UK are responsible are responsible for developing and implementing our paid media approach to drive demand and consideration for both our brand and our products - improving our ability to understand consumersβ behaviour, delivering targeted paid media activity and measuring the impact on and effectiveness of this.
The team are also responsible for developing and executing all SEUK paid media to drive demand, across ATL (TV, Cinema, OLV, Press, Radio, OOH, Display, Paid Social etc), targeting audiences to increase brand affinity and product demand.
This role is critical to the development and delivery of all our ATL plans, planning, managing and continually improving media campaigns for each of our Divisions (IM, CE, Digital).
Role and Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Planning
Development and delivery of media planning for the Divisions (IM, CE, Digital), that accelerates the quality, creativity and consistency of our core media and investment principles, aligned to SEUK commercial priorities.
Development and deepening of our relationships with key media owners locally within the UK, to ensure best in class ideas, innovation, delivery and execution.
Media Execution & Effectiveness
Accountability for ATL media investment, ensuring all budget is spent wisely, and accounted for appropriately.
Taking the lead on key campaigns, managing the process of approvals through to execution
Working closely with CMI and Data teams to develop effective KPI frameworks, measurement plans and test cases to improve the way we measure media effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaborating to create a learning culture within the Media team, to enable media planning and buying following evidence-based thinking.
Agency Management
Work closely with our combined media agency (Starcom, Digitas, Performics) to ensure our media planning and buying are best in class.
Manage the briefing process, feedback on strategic responses and plans, manage the day to day relationships to be across the development and status of all key media campaigns.
Stakeholder Management
Be a media expert within SEUK; presenting to key stakeholders and senior management the plans and results of media investment, with concise and considered recommendations for future improvements and optimisation.
Build excellent relationships with marketing stakeholders to ensure media plans are joined up with the wider marketing mix.
Develop excellent relations with, and understanding of, our operations with the Global (HQ) and regional European (EHQ) teams.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Media literacy; extensive paid media experience working both agency and client side, on large accounts with sizeable budgets.
Highly numerate; with an excellent understanding of leveraging data to drive marketing success.
Consumer-focused; be ahead of trends and changes in the media landscape.
Understanding of the consumer electronics / technology consumer online experience.
Demonstrable expertise of media channels, tools & techniques and developing creative solutions.
Proven project management skills - capable of delivering project plans, managing digital schedules across parallel projects
Ability to effectively manage agencies and to work in large cross functional teams
