Culture

We are a distributed company with a collaborative culture. We’re always striving to improve ourselves and raise the bar for excellence in all areas. Team members come from a diverse set of backgrounds and countries which enables us to quickly learn about the local needs of students and teachers as well as build scalable solutions in the form of a global social learning platform. The company values reflect what we think is important in terms of behavior and beliefs: Student First, Be Better - Everyday, Never Deprive A Learner. Own It amp; Be Bold. Be Original.

As a fast-paced, innovative start-up, our ability to learn at speed is empowered by a culture of respect, collaboration, and the pursuit of redefining social learning at a global scale.

Experimentation and working across a portfolio of game-changing innovations and optimizations are core to our approach to creating sustainable, scalable growth models across all the regions and countries where we operate.

Requirements

Principal Designer Role

As a Principal Designer, you are an expert in some area of design (visual, motion, UX) that will inspire your design team members and set you apart from other designers in this area. You live and breathe consumer mobile drawing on a broad set of experiences that reflect the attention to detail and big picture thinking expected at the senior designer level. You grasp concepts quickly and convert them to design questions that guide exploration of the problem space, uncovering user needs in collaboration with research and ultimately lead to end-to-end experiences with a heavy emphasis on design principles. You envision complex UX ecosystems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible through example. You are the primary person people turn to with design questions. Experience with distributed/remote teams is required. You will be working with design team members located across Europe, the Middle East, India and other locations. We are open to some remote work as long as you can come into the London office on an as needed basis for key meetings, brainstorming sessions and meetings with product leadership.

REQUIRED: Portfolio featuring examples of UX design, interaction design work, case studies and any examples of product design with a focus on process, design decisions/rationale, innovation, insights and impact (please provide a link to a personal website or portfolio).
