Purpose of the Role
The Senior Supply amp; Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring that the end to end Supply Chain, from supplier to warehouse, runs smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, enabling us to deliver the best possible availability for our customers. The Senior supply planner will work collaboratively alongside suppliers, commercial and both retail and Ecom teams, taking direct responsibility for both the supply and demand planners under the category, stock health and stock budget management, across all routes to market.
Responsibilities
- Direct leadership of a supply chain team: developing people, setting targets, delivering KPIs, building cross functional relationships, owning end to end delivery
- Help shape and deliver the overall Supply Chain strategy, to ensure optimum availability of SKUs in THG network; propose and implement solutions to drive improvement as needed.
- Be accountable for the brands inventory in accordance with stock target
- Monitor and drive reduction in SLOBs lines to achieve an efficient inventory
- Production of various data and reporting against key KPIs as and when required; availability, stock targets, aged stock etc
- Sign off NPD stage and gate for their category
- Ensure the full maintenance of the working replenishment model to coordinate the supply plan is completed
- Develop effective working relationships across key business stakeholders
- Build working partnerships with the supply and demand planners that sit underneath you
- Collaborate with Retail, Ecom and key sales channels in delivering effective supply plan
- Collaborate with Warehouse Ops and Freight teams in the delivery of supply plan
- Be active participant in NPD stage and gate process with senior heads
- Build relationships with all 3rd party manufacturers and suppliers to establish effective ways of working
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position is essential in order to hit the ground running
- Strong forecasting skills
- Proven people management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Commercial mindset
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Team player who can also work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills, able to build strong working relationships internally / externally
- Time management
- Proven analytical skills
