Having recently completed the acquisition of two of Manchester's finest boutique hotels in King Street Townhouse amp; Great John Street Hotel to complement our THG Experience division. We are now looking for a hands-on Operations Director to oversee the hotels, and live and breathe our THG ethos.
We are looking for a hands-on leader with extensive experience in luxury hotels as a Group Operational Manager/Director, who is just as comfortable rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in as they are setting sales/revenue strategies or working with the wider team on Famp;B concept development or marketing plans. You will have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to inspire and motivate the team to consistently push for improvement and a best in class service that will elevate the guest experience above and beyond any expectation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the hotel management team, including Sales and General Managers to deliver a consistent 5-star level of service
- Oversee all day to day operational activity for the hotels, including: Famp;B, Rooms, Sales, Events, Kitchen and Spa
- Work with the senior management at THG on direction for the hotels, in accordance with company goals
- Work with wider THG teams on new concept development and planned refurbishments
- Manage the Sales and Revenue teams to ensure strategy and budgets are set and achieved
- Work with the FD to ensure profitable operation of all hotels, food amp; beverage outlets, and other revenue streams in conjunction with agreed metrics and company goals
- Drive training and development for all personnel
Requirements
- Extensive experience either as a General Manager or Multi-Site Operations Manager/Director in a 5-star hotel environment
- A stable career history
- Experience of managing all operational departments including: Famp;B, Rooms, Sales, Events, Kitchen and Spa
- A proven background in improving and maintaining high standards
- Pre-opening hotel experience
- Be an excellent and inspiring communicator across all levels
- Advanced level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Experience of leading and inspiring a team to create unforgettable guest experiences
