Due to expansion, THG is looking to recruit a Clothing Regulatory amp; Compliance Manager.
About the opportunity:
- Oversee clothing, homewares compliance across all territories, ensuring all mandatory labelling and compositional requirements are met.
- Ensure policy and process is in place to uphold the compliance for all clothing, homewares and other non-food/cosmetics products sold globally across MyProtein, Zavvi and TheHut.com websites
- To be main compliance contact for regulatory queries and complaints relating to requirements for other non-food product categories including toys, beauty accessories and electrical items, consulting 3rd party agencies for specific compliance requirements or advice where needed.
- Keep abreast of emerging regulations and changes to global regulatory requirements for clothing that impact labelling, composition and market access.
- Oversee chemical due diligence testing of fabrics with existing and prospective suppliers.
- Maintenance of THG Technical Manual for Clothing and Homeware products and application of these standards across clothing portfolio and new product launches.
- Providing regulatory and compliance advice to prospective Ingenuity clients on clothing and homeware products as needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate that you have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in the clothing / textile industry within a technical, quality or compliance role
- Strong technical, compliance or quality assurance knowledge within the clothing or home textiles sector including understanding the requirements set out under EU General Product Safety Directive.
- High degree of technical accuracy and ability to handle technical data and translate complex technical requirements to multiple internal stakeholders
- Experience with supplier technical audit reporting including and an understanding of REACH chemical compliance and associated due diligence testing
- Understanding of market access requirements for global markets including EU, US, China, Japan, Australia is preferable.
