Due to our continued growth, we have opened 2 new warehouses (or fulfilment centres) in Altrincham to support the distribution of our brands, creating an opportunity for People (HR) Advisor to join the team, providing a professional HR support service to our operations teams.

The People (HR) Advisor will report into a People Business Partner, on key areas including employee relations, employee engagement, data analysis and project work.

The fulfilment centres operate 7 days a week, and as such there will be an element of weekend working associated with this role. Visibility on site and engaging with our teams in the operational environment is an important element of the role

Responsibilities include:

• Drive the employee engagement agenda on site, encouraging feedback and communication locally.
• Ensuring ER cases including; absence, flexible working requests, performance improvement plans, grievance and disciplinary processes are managed fairly and consistently.
• Provide advice to employees and managers to ensure they understand and follow company processes and procedures
• Coach managers and support the development of people management and leadership skills.
• Management of Maternity/Paternity amp; Adoption on site.
• Work closely with Lamp;D team supporting induction and development programmes
• Assisting with organising and facilitating employee well-being initiatives
• Support the onboarding and induction for new starters
• Producing reports and working with the team to address issues such as absence management, retention and performance

Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have the following Skills and Requirements

• Experience advising managers and stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
• Experience dealing with all levels of staff in a persuasive and credible manner
• Experience working within warehousing or manufacturing (Desirable).
• A good working knowledge of current employment legislation

• Strong listening and problem solving skills

• Strong relationship building skills

• Ability to analyse data and summarise key findings

• Good communication and data presentation skills
• Capable of working using your own initiative
• Flexible and adaptable (for this role you will need to be happy to work one day each week at weekend)
• Level 3 CIPD Qualification / equivalent experience. If you have level 5 CIPD this would be an advantage.
