Job Description

Beyond Blog Writer

Location: England, remote
Annual Salary: 10.50 per hour
Contract: 12 months (with a view to extend)
Hours: 15 hours per week

The Beyond blog has flourished over the last 3 years; we have been proud to offer our expert secondary teaching perspective on issues as diverse as politics, teaching tips, revision, wellbeing, and of course, resources.

We are now looking to expand our output and our reach further. To do this, we are recruiting for a blog writer whose focus will be on tapping into trending stories and latest educational news, as well as the download habits of our customers, to offer blogs that continue to resonate with the readership, and that pull in new audience members.

The successful candidate will have current or recent experience teaching English, Maths or Science in a secondary school, and will have their finger on the pulse of the world of secondary education.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • You will produce four new blogs per week
  • Alongside our data and marketing experts, you will identify key areas to write about

We believe that the Beyond products are incredible, and because of that we want every secondary teacher to know about them! The Beyond Marketing team brings together years of classroom experience with specialist marketing practise, and uses these ingredients to communicate the message of Beyond. Our blog forms a part of that landscape.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

Increase views on the blog

Increase click-throughs onto Beyond resources on the Twinkl website

In this role, you will learn:

  • Marketing data analysis
  • SEO
  • How to write in the Beyond tone of voice

The Beyond Marketing Manager

SEO Digital Copywriters

Marketing Assistants

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Experience teaching English, Maths or Science in a secondary school
  • Has a taste for journalism
  • Has the ability to respond to internal and external clients at their point of need
