Job Description

Location: Twinkl HQ, Sheffield Annual Salary: 17,100

Contract: 12 Months Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line Manager: Team Leader Recruiter: Design Production Manager

We’re looking for a creative individual to join Twinkl’s growing SEO design team in an exciting period of international growth. You’ll be working closely with SEO specialists who will be identifying search terms we don’t yet have resources for, and creating designs to suit teacher needs as quickly as possible so we can increase our Google visibility.

This role is primarily focused on volume, so would suit someone who is passionate about organic business growth, who will enjoy creating lots of content daily to reach more teachers across the globe. You’ll be designing for a variety of markets, and your work has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of teachers to help them to manage their time and improve their work life balance.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Everyday you will work on creating quick resources to fill content gaps on the website, highlighted by our SEO team!
  • Attend regular meetings with SEO team members to review data, and work from a backlog of ideas that can be made quickly to fill the Twinkl website.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have experience in InDesign.
  • Have an understanding on branding and be able to work to guidelines.
  • An eye for detail, creativity and imagination.
  • Be proficient at managing workload and meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Care about education and helping teachers and learners across the globe.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to create resources that can be used in an educational setting.
  • Learn about SEO and how crucial it is for online businesses.
  • Learn how to create content and designs within specific brand guidelines.
  • Learn the importance of the end user, accessibility and functionality.

You’ll work with:

  • A team of other designers, working on the same initiative.
  • SEO Professionals, reviewing gaps in our content offering, and making innovative suggestions around what content could be designed to fill these gaps.

Requirements

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Have a Level 3 or above in Graphic Design, or other creative subjects.
  • A to C in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Is good fun to be with and has the ability to communicate well with others, both written and verbally
  • Is organised, able to work to targets and deadlines, and manages time effectively
  • Has a hard work ethic, is passionate, driven and loves what they do
  • Is honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • Has an interest in business and how to maximise customer satisfaction
  • Represents our Twinkl values

Please submit a reduced design portfolio (no more than 10 pages) on a PDF with your application so we can understand your skills and suitability. If successful in acquiring an interview we will ask you to present your portfolio. What we look for in a strong portfolio is editorial and layout designs ranging from magazines to booklets and anything with heavy text.
