Job Description

Location: Twinkl HQ, Sheffield Annual Salary: 21,000

Contract: 12 Months Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line Manager: Design Production Manager Recruiter: Design Production Manager

We are looking for a proactive, driven and creative individual to lead our new team of SEO Designers. You will be working closely with SEO Specialists to identify resources that both yourself, and the design team could create, to fill content gaps on the Twinkl website and increase our Google visibility!

As the leader, you will be responsible for managing the workload of the team, as well as supporting their development, keeping them motivated and maximising their growth and potential. You will use templates and a large bank of illustrations to create accessible and engaging resources for teachers and learners across the globe, in a wide variety of different markets. You will be innovative and a good problem solver, to create as much impact on the website as possible, and drive customer engagement and satisfaction.


Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Work on creating quick resources to fill content gaps on the website.
  • Attend regular meetings with SEO team members to review data, develop ideas for resources that could be created, and help maintain a backlog of ideas that can be made quickly to fill the Twinkl website.
  • Attending meetings with your team to give relevant updates and support within their day to day roles. Book 1-2-1s, AAAs and IDPs to regularly review and support with their development and wellbeing.
  • Leading the team and empowering them to innovate, be creative and maximise impact within their roles.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have great organisation and communication skills, using platforms such as Jira, Google Drive and Google Chat effectively.
  • Be able to handle information sensibly and where appropriate, sensitively.
  • Enjoy supporting, and empowering others to develop their skills and ideas.
  • Have experience in InDesign.
  • Have an understanding on branding and be able to work to guidelines.
  • Have an eye for detail, creativity and imagination.
  • Be proficient at managing workloads and meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Care about education and helping teachers and learners across the globe.
  • Be professional, personable and pragmatic, an ambassador for Twinkl and our values.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to use templates and set up resources to minimise time spent on repetitive parts of the resource design process.
  • How to create resources that can be used in an educational setting.
  • Twinkls brand guidelines and resource catalogue.
  • Learn about SEO and how crucial it is for online businesses.
  • Learn how to create content and designs within specific brand guidelines.
  • Learn the importance of the end user, accessibility and functionality.

You’ll work with:

  • A team of SEO designers, working on resources for a wide variety of markets.
  • SEO Professionals, reviewing gaps in our content offering, and making innovative suggestions around what content could be designed to fill these gaps.
  • The Design Production Manager, to understand any updates for the team, report back relevant information on the teams goals and objectives, and get support with your development and understanding of creating resources at Twinkl.
