Want to work for the most watched car channel on YouTube in the WORLD?

Carwow is looking for a dynamic full-time Deputy Social Media Manager to join our industry-leading editorial team which produces all content for the carwow car comparison website and its associated social media platforms: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. You’ll be working remotely for now, but we’re hoping to be back in our open-plan Victoria offices during mid-2021.

The role

The carwow YouTube channel does up to 75M views a month (that’s more than Top Gear’s YouTube channel BTW). And we have grown our subscriber base to over 5M in less than five years since our first review video went live. Oh, and all this has been achieved organically.

We’re not done yet though! We want to continue our phenomenal growth and mirror this excellence across our other key social media platforms with the help of bespoke video amp; photo assets which you’ll help to create.

So as well as working on YouTube, you’ll support the continued growth of our highly-engaged Instagram channel (with over 650k followers) as we venture into influencer collaborations, IGTV and social video content. You’ll also be instrumental in growing our Facebook, Twitter and TikTok accounts.

ABOUT THE TEAM

You’ll be part of the carwow editorial team reporting into the social media manager and working alongside our video editors and writers. The editorial team’s purpose is to raise awareness of the benefits of carwow, provide unbiased advice to our users and ultimately help people buy the right car at the right price.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Devise and create engaging copy for the weekly social media content calendars for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter
  • Use Photoshop amp; Adobe Premiere Pro to create highly engaging image amp; video assets for use in our social content
  • Attend video shoots to photograph and film bespoke social assets
  • Assist in processing of videos for YouTube including creating thumbnails and titles
  • Monitor, manage and engage with our social audience through the comment sections of our platforms
  • Run regular social campaigns to diversify output and reach to new audiences
  • Work with carwow Germany and carwow Spain to share content and insights

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a social media role, either for a company or significantly growing your own social media presence
  • A deep understanding of all social platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter
  • Proven experience in the development and production of creative, engaging social content
  • The ability to work with image amp; video editing software (Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of the social media landscape, including new platforms and trends in user behaviour
  • Have a track record for defining and implementing social media campaigns across multiple social channels
  • Have a love of brands and social media, and the desire to push boundaries and test new amp; exciting content opportunities

  • Experience creating content for and publishing to TikTok
  • Experience working with social media influencers
  • An expertise or at least a genuine interest in cars
