RF mmWave System Design Engineer
We are seeking experienced RF and mmWave System Design Engineers, the two roles are key to the ongoing fast paced development of the Isotropic products.
We are looking for candidates to
- Manage aspects of RF and digital modelling, design, implementation and test of a complex system
- Work logically amp; communicate effectively in the fast paced multidisciplinary environment, delivering tasks to tight deadlines amp; reporting on findings clearly and concisely
- Be highly adaptable amp; responsive to technical challenges that can be outside your direct experience
Requirements
Technical Knowledge amp; Experience
Essential Skills
- Well versed in RF system modelling techniques for performance estimation
- Experienced in modelling, specifying and implementing different RF transceiver architectures
- In-depth understanding of system performance trade-offs in selecting transceiver architectures
- Able to partition system level specification to circuit block and/or component level
- Experience with interpreting regulatory conformance and standards compliance documentation
- Past experience in pre-qualifying a radio system for regulatory conformance and standards compliance a definite advantage.
- Circuit design, simulation and PCB realisation techniques up-to 40GHz is a definite plus.
- Experience in RF prototyping approaches to prove out modelling
- Must be able to define test and verification plans
- Should be prepared to implement testing with scripting or other automated test approaches
- Understanding of modelling and design trade-offs for PLLs, ADC, DAC and basic signal DSP chains a definite advantage
- Familiarity with Test Instrumentation and techniques is required plus an ability to plan and execute a test plan whether at the block circuit level or at a system level
Desirable Skills
- Phased Array specific knowledge
- SatCom specific knowledge
- SatCom link budget understanding
- Knowledge of advanced telecom standards 4G /LTE /MiMo /5G
- Experienced in measurement and characterisation of RF amp; mmWave devices and circuits
- Programming for control of instrumentation and data processing with Python, Matlab or any other scripting language

- Must be able to document and present their work clearly amp; concisely
- Be a team player working at a fast-pace to deliver the product on schedule
