  • Participate in all phases of external ASIC design, and internal FPGA Emulation flow - from concept to mass production
  • Develop amp; specify high-level ASIC design requirements and block-level micro-architectures, partition design within ASIC/FPGA
  • Develop RTL designs using SystemVerilog, with emphasis on DSP and digital communication system blocks ( inc. frontend, physical layer, link layer amp; error correction)
  • Work with external IC design house to optimize designs for area, speed, and power to meet system requirements, understand trade-offs amp; developing production software for the designs
  • Verify DSP blocks against fixed-point MATLAB model, work in collaboration with RF/DSP systems engineers
  • Collaborate with external ASIC design house to develop UVM-based top-level tests
  • Participate in SoC-level and FPGA top-level integration activities and assist in lint checking, CDC checking, logic equivalence checking, and other EDA tool-based checks
  • Prototype designs on FPGA, focusing on closely emulating the final product functionality
  • Use scripting languages to achieve higher performance and improve productivity through automation
  • Bring-up and validate ASICs and FPGAs in the lab, utilize various lab equipment
