The role:

The Associate Editor will play an important role in helping Infopro Digital’s global clients to craft compelling new or repurposed thought leadership content, ranging from impactful written and visual content through to bespoke market-driven qualitative and quantitative research, and to develop and project-manage virtual activity including webinars and other audio-visual content.

The recently launched Ignite helps our clients reach audiences that matter to them through compelling and unique commercial content. As part of a growing global team, the Associate Editor will liaise with clients and deliver thought leadership campaigns and one-off projects, from inception through to final deliverables.

Reporting into the Global Head of Commercial Content and working closely with regional editors, the Associate Editor will provide extra support across a number of projects and commercial initiatives as well as lead their own series of projects.

The role will immerse the successful candidate in the global banking, asset management, fintech and insurance segments, backed by several award-winning brands including Risk.net, Insurance Post and WatersTechnology.

Requirements

Editorial

  • Conduct interviews with clients and industry leaders for content production or video/web presentation
  • Ensure content meets the editorial standards as agreed with our Global Content Director
  • Conduct market and audience research through surveys, interviews and quantitative analysis
  • Produce high-quality sponsored statements, web articles, special reports, custom research, white papers, infographics or other content pieces
  • Working with a senior editor to deliver commercially-driven webinars, panel discussions, roundtable events and other digital events
  • Conduct client stakeholder interviews for sponsored podcasts and video products
  • Participate in client events representing Infopro Digital and showcasing our thought leadership
  • Establish project timelines and guide clients towards practical and achievable solutions within budget

Client Management

  • Manage client projects with close coordination with clients and internal stakeholders including the sales, marketing and operations teams across the divisions
  • Meet established deadlines and support post-project renewal/upsell activities
Reporting:
  • Report to the Global Head of Commercial Content on project progress vs. timelines
  • Participate in project meetings as necessary to review progress against budget / plan
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

This is a results-driven role and the successful applicant is likely to be a journalist possibly with commercial content experience. They will need to demonstrate an ability to work independently and a proven track record of managing projects and producing high-quality content and research, and working knowledge of the markets that Infopro Digital covers.


The ideal candidate will have the following but not limited to:
  • Experience in business journalism, editorial or B2B media/content role
  • Knowledge of custom content production
  • Proven writing and research ability
  • Ability to manage projects and interact with clients and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Some project management experience is essential
  • Accept responsibility for the quality and timelines of own wo
