Job Description

A leading consultancy currently requires a Pension System Administrator to join their Pensions practice on a permanent basis. The team is based in Belfast however this opportunity is fully remote and you can be based anywhere in the UK.

From the outset you will be involved in the development of the SQL based pension administration platform Intellipen using your Intellicalcs, SQL and XML skills. Producing solutions for the various pension schemes that are administered by the pension team in Belfast. As well as this you will help support the various housekeeping requirements including a pension scheme member web portal, electronic document management system as well as maintenance and upgrading of the various systems, templates and solutions.

A Pensions Systems Senior Consultant will have responsibility for:

• Developing Pension Systems staff team member’s knowledge and understanding in the efficient and effective use of Intellipen.

• Transitioning of pension scheme data from source system to Intellipen ensuring transitions are analysed, tested and reconciled in UAT before transitioning to Production

• Development of technical knowledge of DC and DB occupational pension schemes

• Programming of member benefits for the various pension schemes that are administered by the pension administration team.

• Analysis and monitoring of pension data quality on the pension administration system.

• Development of IT solutions to improve the efficiency within the Trustee Services business

• Housekeeping and maintenance of the various pension IT systems.

• Completion of periodic pension scheme projects.

• Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Requirements

  • It is essential that you have previous experience with Intellipen.
  • GCSE Maths and English C or above grade or equivalent
  • In total a minimum of 2 A levels at grade C or above or equivalent
  • IT related degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office, Word and Excel applications to an advanced level
  • Demonstrable SQL and database knowledge
  • HTML/CSS/XML and XSL knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to ensure collaboration with administration, actuarial and consultancy team
  • Experience of working on occupational DB and DC pension schemes
  • Experience working on in an office environment / customer facing role
