Job Description

Green Street seeks ambitious, motivated candidates with a passion for real estate and a desire to build a career within our Advisory business. If you are studying and have an interest in finance and investments, we will teach you how to apply them in real estate advisory and consulting as part of a well-respected and experienced team. Our Advisory team operate as generalists across asset classes and European geographies, providing the Intern with exposure across the diverse real estate landscape.

This unique opportunity is available to highly motivated candidates currently studying towards an undergraduate (in their 2nd year or above) or postgraduate degree and are interested in working in a part-time capacity (ideally at-least 3 days per week) for a period of 12 months.

The Intern for Advisory will have the opportunity to support team members in the following functions:

  • Gain exposure to consulting methodologies
  • Develop and apply broad and deep real estate and capital markets knowledge
  • Gathering and analyzing economic, demographic and real estate market data
  • Generating creative ideas and solutions to address challenging questions with limited and/or imperfect information
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and exhibiting a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Support the team in the construction of client presentations
  • Support the drafting of business development and ad hoc presentations
  • Closely following and understanding real estate equity market and company activity
  • Building financial models and using multiple valuation methodologies, including Green Street’s proprietary pricing model

Requirements

In addition to a strong work ethic and motivation to learn, the Intern requires the following skills: highly detail focused, excel skills, communication (both written and verbal) skills, and a high degree of organization, creativity, and resourcefulness.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Currently studying towards (2nd year) or completion of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the field of accounting, finance, economics or real estate or related field
  • Passion for real estate within investments
  • Demonstrated experience through studies or work experience in conducting financial and economic analysis. Training in these areas will be provided
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Candidate must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom without future sponsorship required.
  • Excellent quantitative and analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
