Job Description
Our Risk amp; Insurance team plays a vital role in holding every area in the business accountable with regards to both functional and principal risks that arise in their area. This is predominantly a risk focused role. There is a responsibility to work with the team to deliver our annual insurance renewal programme as well.

How you will make a difference
In a nutshell there are two parts to the job. Firstly there is managing the day-to-day management of our risk programme; working closely with all areas of Camelot leadership (Exec amp; Leadership leavel) to continually review functional and principal risks in their areas. The second part of the job is to deliver our renewal programme of our insurances - this is anticipated to be around 15-20% of the job at key times in the year.
What you'll bring to the table
- Proven experience in primarily within roles - we’d love to see a variety of experience working with either Risk, Compliance and Audit. If you haven’t, it's unlikely this role is for you.
- Experience of managing risk, through risk registers and working to ERM frameworks is essential.
- Compelling report writing skills, you communicate messages in clear and able to make solutions which are workable.
- A fabulous relationship builder - we’re working virtually at the moment but expecting a blend of home and office working in the future - someone who can demonstrate working positively in both environments is key.
- A team player, our Risk and Insurance team sit as part of our wider Business Assurance team and this role plays a role in how the function evolves going forward. (We have an internal audit and compliance team headed by a Director of Business Assurance).
- High level of integrity and independence whilst also able to successfully partner with the business in meaningful ways through building trusting relationships and connections.
- A strong collaborator, influencer, listener, to build consensus and a constructive working relationship across the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence, and ability to influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mind-set.
