Working Hours: Mon-Thur 8:30am 5pm, Fri 8:30am 3:45pm
Working Location: This can be flexible in the current climate for you to work from home.
Introduction: As Management Accountant you will support and assist with the administration and reconciliation, which make up the daily, weekly, and monthly duties of the finance department. Provide analysis and reporting for assisting in decision making. Provide necessary cover in absence of the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare various reports to assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and for analysis purposes.
- Produce and review the Trial Balance, Profit amp; Loss and Balance Sheet for submission to the UK Financial Controller
- Monthly reconciliation of various balance sheet items (including inventory and provisions) and identification of any discrepancies
- Preparation of detailed cash flow forecasts
- Identify and solve problems and issues that prevent the smooth operation of the finance function
- Assist in the preparation of cost and financial budgets and to ensure operating departments are appraised actual against budget by way of monthly management accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of various financial forecasts for incorporation to the monthly management accounts.
- Identification of financial problems / material variances to budget / forecast as early as possible
- Analyse and prepare information relating to the required levels of Commercial Insurance for use in negotiating the Insurance cover renewal for all aspects of the business.
- Review the company’s currency exposure in line with the Treasury policy and propose any required actions
- Accurate representation of currency exposure and CNS updated regularly to reflect this.
- Administer and maintain the fixed asset register and capital expenditure forms.
- Provide detailed analysis of general ledger codes for audit purposes.
- Administer and continuously maintain accurate records in relation to customer rebates.
- Prepare and action payments to suppliers.
- Maintenance of cashbook postings from bank account to accounting system.
- Payments are made accurately and on time within the constraints of cash availability
- Communicate with suppliers, maintaining professionalism always
- Assist both internal and external auditors to carry out their duties.
- Ensure that reporting and analysis of data is correct and accurate.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance role
- Microsoft Office Skills (in particular VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables)
- Good Time management and organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to analyse problems quickly and offer solutions
- Ability to work on own initiative
