Job Description

We have an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious person desiring to learn more about selling marketing services and advertising technology to brands and agencies. This role is dedicated to helping the sales team sell. This is done through helping answer RFP’s, understanding client opportunities, which marketing collateral is relevant, and helping chart the talk track with clients.


You will be expected to help organize and maintain sales collateral, case studies, events, and help own the process of responding to RFP’s. There will also be an element of strategy which is relevant to initially responding to RFP’s and helping chart the early talk tracks for initial calls with clients.

You will be expected to join sales calls and understand the sales process. The next logical step is to move into sales, or strategy for pitches with clients for larger budgets.


Responsibilities

  • Review and qualify new opportunities, based on Jellyfish’s target clientele, working closely with sales leadership, sales directors and managers to maintain and update relevant collateral around product offerings for services and technology Jellyfish offers clients
  • Aid in assembling winning pitches! You will be an active participant to our client pitch team, as you work cross-functionally to organize and help in creating attention-grabbing pitches.
  • Shape RFP responses, own the process and organize the teams, communicating internally and externally with stakeholders
  • Organize teams internally to get answers for RFP’s and develop pitch decks
  • Bring an element of strategic thinking that helps the pitch team get started based on what the customer does, what Jellyfish clients are similar, and nuances that are unique to that clients business/industry that can help JF differentiate and win the business
  • Maintain sales collateral and materials so they’re easily accessed by the Jellyfish teams ensuring consistency in what’s going out to prospects
  • Work with product marketing to ensure alignment on sales talk tracks with customers and prospects, own the updating of materials from product marketing into sales teams/channels
  • Research digital marketing trends and keep the business development team up to date on information they can share with their clients and prospects.
  • Be able to understand and research clients business and shaping initial thoughts as you pull colleagues into pitches/RFP’s IE have an opinion based on research you’ve done so people can gather context and hit the ground running
  • Supporting strategy, client and industry Research amp; insights, Team creation, Training, Feedback and integration of Pitch process along with the facilitation for internal meetings for pitch kick offs, checkpoints, reviews and finalization, submission to client.
  • Conduct market research for new business opportunities and key growth verticals.


Salesforce:

  • Assist in compiling, analyzing, and presenting business development data for internal and external reporting.
  • Be responsible for pipeline reporting globally and ensuring accuracy of information distributed to global leadership on a weekly basis
  • Create visuals around pipeline and recent wins in new and existing business
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure all requirements for salesforce are understood and work flow changes are addressed with the Operations team
  • Proactively review opportunities for all active accounts.

Knowledge amp; Experience Requirements

  • Experience in business development and or sales strategy within a marketing agency, or sales organisation
  • Understanding basic principles of project management with a focus on digital marketing and growing the business.
  • A passion for and understanding of all things digital as well as a constant curiosity to learn about the latest trends
  • Experience with Google Suite and ability to create, format, and manipulate Excel spreadsheets and develop PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with G-Suite tools and Google Drive for storing/sharing things with teams accurately
