About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Commercial Business Analyst to join our business team. As a member of the business team, you will have great visibility and exposure to senior directors in the company and the opportunity to take on a high-level of responsibility early-on in your career.
The Commercial Business Analyst will be broadly responsible for supporting daily content operations, ensuring the quality and integrity of our Biobank/Population Genomics database, providing research support to the SDR team and supporting/consulting on ad-hoc projects as necessary.
Depending on where you would like to take your career, this role can either fast-track you to a commercial / account management position within 9-12 months from starting at Lifebit - or, you can continue to grow within the Business Analysis team. We want to offer full flexibility for both to be pursued.
Responsibilities
Embedding amp; Intelligence (upon joining)
- Translate product features and functions into business value for customer in written proposals, social media, and marketing content
- Embed in all commercial internal and external meetings
- Liaise with product/delivery to understand product and roadmap and help to translate it into sales messaging to demonstrate Lifebit’s innovativeness in the market
- Constantly monitor and digest media amp; PR on clients, markets, technology
Achieve:
- Perform market demand studies and identify/recommend opportunities for the company to find new business
- Shape the dialogue and positioning of Lifebit in its engagement with customers via proposals, social media, marketing, conferences
- Optimize messaging around key selling points to customers (ROI, business value, accelerated drug discovery, patient care, biobank data market)
After 4-8 weeks - Content generation for SDR, Sales amp; Marketing
- In charge of writing social media content
- Develop a strategy around optimal cadence content for outreach across social media channels
- Development of short amp; long forms of content around scientific or business topics (with the support of senior subject matter experts in Lifebit)
After 4-8 weeks - Working on live client deals with commercial team
- Create commercial proposals
- Contribute in tender response writing
- Creating usage and other quantitative models in support of further developing a business case for clients and prospective businesses
Requirements
- Must have a Science-based degree in subjects with numerical emphasis (such as Life Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering etc.)
- Experience working at a pharmaceutical/biotech company or consulting/research firm is required. Internship experience will be considered
- Familiarity with bioinformatics and population genomics preferred, but not required
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong internet research skills
- Strong communication and project management skills to handle multiple projects with different stakeholders
- Ability to use sound logic to edit, manipulate and analyse different types of data
- Proactive individual with drive and ambition, a strong work ethic to growing in a dynamic environment with good opportunities to help develop and further the business as a whole
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team both in the office and remotely
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Doc and Slides
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
