Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Services
We’re currently in an exciting period of growth here at Harbr. We emerged from stealth in May 2020 and in November 2020 we announced our $38.5m Series A, led by Dawn Capital and Tiger Global. We’ve already onboarded our first enterprise clients, and are looking to grow our team.
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager with a focus on Cloud and infrastructure. They will lead and mentor our team of Infrastructure Engineers as they grow our Cloud platform. Our product operates on all three major Clouds and we’re seeking someone with experience in one, or more, of the major Cloud providers.
As with all of our roles, this is a fully remote position, and can be based anywhere in the UK or the USA.
Requirements
About the role -
- You’ll be managing infrastructure across three major Cloud providers.
- You are responsible for managing infrastructure operations, including availability, observability, security, and incident management.
- You’ll build and maintain an infrastructure product backlog, including defining and prioritizing the team’s work.
- You are responsible for ensuring high availability and resiliency for our infrastructure.
- You will serve as a main point of contact for the Infrastructure team, facilitating collaboration with other teams in the business.
- You’ll grow and develop the team as the company evolves and scales, including ensuring mentorship, coaching, feedback, and good hiring practices are built into the team’s operations.
About you -
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider is essential; familiarity with others is a huge plus.
- Experience operating SaaS products, ideally for enterprise B2B customers.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of engineers, including direct experience with performance management and hiring practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated comfort with remote communication culture
