Please note that this is a regional role covering the South of the UK, so there will be travel required.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As our Fibre Network Planner, you’ll be responsible for producing robust, cost-effective and future proof civils and fibre optic designs for new build and infill opportunities, using defined methodologies and architecture, and within project timelines. Some of your key responsibilities will include;

  • Carrying out site surveys
  • Forecasting capex and opex requirements for designed infrastructure projects
  • Producing detailed industry-standard design documentation
  • Helping to develop, implement and champion CityFibre’s network design topologies
  • Being rigorous with respect to data quality within CityFibre’s asset and customer management systems
  • Driving consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

It’s essential to this success of this role that you have previous new build planning experience, as well as good working knowledge of DPA / PIA planning and FTTP architecture, components and materials. You’ll also need;

  • Ability to produce detailed site survey packs, wayleave packs and network construction job packs
  • Working knowledge of industry recognised GIS software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full clean driving license and the flexibility to travel as required

A NRSWA accreditation (signing, lighting and guarding) would be a bonus!
