Job Description
We are seeking a Core Tech Programmer to join our internal technology team at Firesprite. This varied role encompasses a whole range of disciplines from toolchain and build systems, tool development, low level runtime library and game engine development, as well as direct project support.
As a core team member, you will be responsible for delivering cutting edge technologies to support the game teams at Firesprite. You will be working closely with multiple game projects to make sure the teams have the best tools with which to realise their creative vision.
- Implementation and maintenance of both new and existing technologies
- Liaison with project teams to establish and track technology requirements
- Research and development of relevant new technologies
- Provide documentation and support to project teams
Requirements
- Excellent C++
- A broad knowledge of GPU architecture
- A broad knowledge of contemporary graphics techniques
- Strong working knowledge of shaders
- Strong API design / software engineering skills
- Strong 3D vector maths
- CPU and GPU profiling experience
- Familiarity with toolchains and build systems
- At least one shipped title in a similar role
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous console experience highly beneficial
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine preferred but not essential
