Role and Responsibilities
Key Objectives
Budget and planning
•Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for general O/H•Annual budgets managed include CSR(1.7M£)/ donations, L&D(0.7M£), convention, hospitality and events(0.5M£), consultancy(1.3M£), Travel (1.4M£), IT Expense(8.3M£)•Monitoring and analysis of overhead spend and liaise with the business to ensure costs are managed within budget•To support management by providing accurate and complete information for decision making/ budget approvals
Reporting
•To produce monthly budget status reports for department Heads/ budget holders to inform spending analysis of actuals vs. budget and to provide support/ guidance,•Month end duties including Journal postings, variance analysis of monthly results against prior periods/ forecast/ budgets giving reasons for movements and breakdowns of key balances•Prepare headcount analysis for monthly business report pack•Promote effective and efficient reporting systems and processes•Preparing HQ reports requested
Workflow management
•Manage workflow settings in SAP to ensure that costs are approved by people in line with internal policy and maintain controls (more than 800 heads)
Sample management
•Approvals for SEUK FOC products/ Sample requests to make sure policies are followed•Creating reports shared with other departments e.g. tax team and other divisions•Sample inventory management including sales, disposals, no returns•Sample stock checks and stock takes•SAP Material Management and Creation•Admin of Samsung sample management system – new user registration, workflow setting, system checks/ alignment.•Internal partner assistance
Ad-Hoc duties
•Support ad hoc project work•Provide support to Senior Finance Director wherever necessary
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Essential Hard Skills Required:
•Qualified/ part qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)•Excellent Microsoft Excel skills•Experience of working in technology or FMCG sectors•Prior knowledge of using ERP systems (preferably SAP)•Excellent analytical skills to understand business drivers and interpret financial results
Essential Soft Skills:
•Able to work under pressure•Excellent communication skills both verbally and written•Proactive approach•Strong reporting skills, display key information and convey messages clearly, concisely and with impact
