Job Summary
This is a new role to help the company’s CEO and CFO fundraise and manage existing investors. The Head of Investor Relations will help articulate the company’s business model, strategy, products, and long-term strategic objective by presenting a clear and confident message to potential investors and existing shareholders. This position will play a key role in the full life cycle of fundraising from investor pipelines, screening, organizing road shows and updating existing investors.
A top candidate will have the right blend of communication and analytic skills with a love for networking, comfort with numbers, and superb written and verbal communication skills. The role requires interaction with senior leadership internally, key investors, the ability to perform under pressure. You will have demonstrated the ability to work independently. We are open to candidates from different backgrounds but typical experience would include: investor relations, sales of financial products, or PR of a fintech startup/financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate presentations and investor pitches with CEO/CFO
Create and update investor decks, presentations, and KPI dashboards
Maintain database of potential investors, and screen inbound inquires
Initiate, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors.
Identify, expand and deepen relationships with VC funds, grow funds, private equity, and strategic corporate investors.
Help enhance and articulate the company’s story in verbal and visual presentations
Ensure the company’s business model, products, strategy and progress are well articulated and understood by existing and potential investors
Coordinate across functional teams such as finance, product, and marketing to gather information in preparation for quarterly investor letters and updates.
Prepare key messages and presentations for ad hoc projections
Create a company annual report
Monitor industry deals, transactions, Mamp;A, and sector trends to help monitor
Prior experience with institutional investors a plus
Requirements
5-7+ years of related work experience
Hands-on experience and proficiency with Salesforce
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Keynote, and MacOS
Ability to build clear and concise presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Entrepreneurial spirit, incurable optimism, and a startup mindset
