Job Description

This is a maternity cover role for approximately 12 months, starting in May. As our People amp; Culture Partner, you’ll be part of a generalist HR Team of 7 in the UK. We work closely with our colleagues in the central European People team and increasingly with other People teams across Europe.

When we talk about partnering with the business, we mean it. We pride ourselves on how we work alongside our leaders and managers to help them perform at their full potential. Helping them to identify how to structure, manage, develop and engage their teams in the best way. Our People amp; Culture Partners are valued members of the management teams in their client groups and are deeply trusted by our leadership team.

The role will be based in our fantastic office in central Soho when restrictions lift. There will be flexibility in how you work and you’ll probably be in the office 3 or 4 days a week depending on what you’re working on and who you’re working with, which will change week to week.

What you’ll be doing

As the People amp; Culture Partner, you’ll be the main contact for our UK based Commercial teams. Working with the Leadership and Management teams to both respond to the day to day people needs, and to help develop and implement the changes, approaches and programmes that will make sure our business continues to both achieve great business results and continue to have the high engagement levels we do.

You’ll also partner with our UK based European Commercial Lead Director, as we continue our journey to bring our commercial teams across Europe closer together, making the most of the talented and skilled people we have across Europe.

You’ll be expected to;

  • Become a trusted partner to your client group
  • Build a deep understanding of the business, our challenges and goals to be able to influence and steer the people plan
  • Work closely with the Directors and Managers to identify and solve complex people issues
  • Manage, coach amp; develop a People Advisor and People Assistant
  • Collaborate with and engage colleagues across Europe
  • Shape and deliver our people strategy across your client group
  • Be a true business partner who’s committed to our longer term strategic goals
  • You'll be the UK lead on strategic people projects, for example, Damp;I, or Manager Development, working with the team to make plans and make them happen.

Who are you?

This role requires two strengths, the first and most important, is the ability to partner with people to coach them into being the best they can be and do the best for others in our business. The second strength is your ability to turn your hand to whatever comes your way. Our People teams are skilled at many things, acting as true generalists responsible for delivering and advising on everything and anything that involves our people.

Of course you’ll also have an affinity with detail and process, to make sure the essential HR processes are delivered well and ER needs are met, most often by supporting the work of our People amp; Culture Advisors. This is not a process heavy role, it’s a role that works with and through others to get the most desirable outcomes.

You’ll need to be able to;

  • Quickly build strong relationship with a wide range of people, across teams that contribute to our business in vastly different ways.
  • Turn your hand to any area of HR, from Lamp;D, to ER, from coaching to payroll, from policy development to structure changes.
  • Judge when to nudge people along, when to push a little harder and when to change your approach.
  • You’ll take satisfaction from the achievements of others and our business overall, as the People team works so closely with our leaders, we’re often just behind the scenes.
  • You’ll have an eye for spotting opportunities, for building on ideas and approaches so we can continue to evolve our business.
  • You’ll be passionate about ensuring Clear Channel is a fair place to work
  • You’ll be comfortable with data, analysis and managing projects, to help us measure what we need to plan our activity and measure our progress.
  • You’ll be experienced at handling ER cases (we don’t have many, but you’ll need to be able to manage any tricky ones)
