We are currently working with an established small family run business based in Stafford who through growth have a need for a Fire Compartmentation/Fire Door Surveyor to join the team. This role will be predominantly covering the South West region
The main purpose of this role is to carry out inspections of buildings to ensure the integrity of the building is not breached and any firestopping has been carried out correctly and in line with current regulations.
This would be an ideal opportunity for someone within the construction industry to take their next career step into the Fire Safety sector.
Requirements
- Conducting fire inspections and compartmentation surveys on a mixture of Social housing, student accommodation, healthcare and educational premises nationally.
- Delivering reports and surveys
- Understanding fire strategies
- Liaising with residents and clients whilst on-site
- Surveying and inspecting fire doors and frames
In order to be considered for the role, you will hold the below skills and personal attributes.
- Experienced working within an SME Business
- Prepared and happy to work alone / remote working
- Be willing to stay away overnight for projects whenever necessary
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of fire regulations would be advantageous
- Consultative, humble approach to your work
- Full driver’s license - maximum of 6 penalty points
- DBS Check required
- CSCS Card would be advantageous
Hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 - 17:00 (Flexibility required)
