Job Description

At Frazer-Nash we care, and the work we do makes a difference in the world. Our safety support to Nuclear New Build projects that will contribute to achieving net-zero, continues to grow. As such, an opportunity exists to join an established safety team with a substantial fire engineering capability, which we seek to expand further.

We are searching for driven, self-starting consultants with fire safety experience in the nuclear industry to work on Nuclear New Build, decommissioning, and fusion projects. Whilst this opportunity is focussed on nuclear, there will be opportunities to work in other safety critical sectors (e.g. rail, maritime, aerospace) and in new markets relating to Clean Energy systems and Renewables where there are fire safety hazards (e.g. Hydrogen, and Lithium Battery Storage).

If you are excited about the prospects of working on high profile infrastructure projects in nuclear and in other sectors, please apply.

The location of this role can be based from any of the following offices: Burton, Warrington, Gloucester or Bristol. At the moment we are continuing to work remotely.

Requirements

Successful applicants will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Degree or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Physics or Maths.
  • MSc Fire Safety Engineering (or equivalence by experience)
  • Be Chartered (or working towards Chartership, e.g. through the IFE)
  • Fire Safety Engineering experience in the nuclear industry

It is to your advantage if you meet any or all the following additional requirements:

  • Experience of working within a consultancy environment.
  • A history of involvement in large multi-disciplinary projects
  • A track record of working successfully with clients and developing new business.
  • Knowledge of Clean Energy systems such as Hydrogen, and Lithium Battery Storage

Applications will be considered at time of receipt so we encourage early applications. The closing date for this role is Wednesday 31st March 2021.

Benefits

We provide our people with an excellent benefits package that comprises:

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days' holiday entitlement
  • Holiday sale and purchase scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • Targeted professional development
  • Life assurance
  • Private healthcare membership
