Job Purpose:

To ensure all Photobox Group products have accurate specifications amp; standards defined, captured and updated and that they further comply with identified standards in terms of safety certifications and quality. Supporting the development and consistent delivery of innovative high-quality products that perform, meet legal and statutory requirements and customer needs. Working across the group Quality function to ensure that all factories have the relevant technical specification amp; quality audits in place.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside the Quality, Product Innovation and Production teams, the focus of the role is to design, deliver and populate full technical manufacturing physical product specifications for our wide range of personalised gift products into a suitable framework / database / system.

This role requires confidence in working with and recording physical product specifications, and then using data manipulation and analysis to inform effective decision-making for improvements and to drive actions to increase efficiency within processes and to further reduce waste.

Working closely with manufacturing, quality, IT and product teams across the business, gathering and validating all relevant technical information on materials, process and finished gold standard quality expectations.

About the Role:

To ensure that the company’s reputation and brands are protected by ensuring that all Technical specification data satisfies company policies and meets relevant regulatory requirements. You will be required to ensure that company quality standards are met by providing timely, accurate product manufacturing specifications and quality standards data to group production sites.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design, build and ongoing management of a full library of product specifications across Photobox Group Production, including establishing technical manufacturing amp; materials specifications, quality attributes and expectations (including gold seal physical sample management) as well as manufacturing process / SOPs / training document management for every product amp; process.
  • Working closely with Group QMS function to deliver the quality assurance standards of all products across internal and outsourced production.
  • Work closely with the product development team to ensure all product specification are captured amp; agreed as part of new product development; appraising new products to ensure they are legal and safe and meet Photobox group performance and legal requirements. Contribute technical expertise to ensure that all technical and safety product characteristics are specified, appropriate and clearly documented. Ensure that products are fit for purpose, durable and safe.
  • To support the analysis of returns amp; customer contact data on an ongoing basis and to recommend and implement potential changes to the finished product, components or packaging where necessary to reduce the overall returns / contact rates.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product and compliance testing and technical audits; investigating customer feedback; collaborating with product developers to adjust product designs and manufacturing methods.
  • To continually evaluate product development opportunities through competitor analysis and use of other sources, working with Product teams to action potential product improvements.
  • To monitor and review individual product performance, setting objectives and identifying training needs based on variation vs agreed specifications.
  • Working closely with Supply chain and procurement teams to ensure supplier material expectations are defined, managed, and monitored to establish and develop manufacturer and supplier inbound materials scoring to ensure quality standards are met. Support supplier Technical and Ethical audits as required, agree action plans with vendors to drive improvements at factory level.
