As part of an innovative cross-functional, cross-company and cross-industry team, responsibility is to design and develop (and keep current) an electric aircraft’s high-power distribution system, including the means to control and protect it.. The contract is for 3 months.
Requirements
- Able to design aircraft systems for electric power generation and on-aircraft distribution, for high voltage (around 750 V DC) and low voltage (28 V DC) aircraft electrical systems
- Able to develop requirements and specifications for electrical sub-systems and components, including motors, convertors/transformers, contactors/switches, circuit protection and electrical network control
- Able to use Autocad for electrical design
- Aerospace background preferred but could alternatively be automotive, defence, maritime or rail; however, this role is NOT suitable for engineers whose main skill is producing 3D designs for electrical harness installations
